国际野生生物保护学会(The Wildlife Conservation Society, WCS)

前身是纽约动物学会 (The New York Zoological Society)，成立于1895年，总部设立在美国纽约市，是一个致力于保护野生生物及其所栖息生境的非盈利性的国际性组织。WCS在全球范围同许多政府机构和当地自然保护组织建立许多的关系。

国际野生生物保护学会的策略是支持综合的野外研究课题，培训当地的自然保护专业人员，为保护和管理野生生物种群。

开展的主要活动：

1．设立野外研究课题，建立野外工作计划；

2．派遣专家赴世界各地医治野生动物和培训当地兽医；

3．WCS的教育部编写以强化自然保护内容中小学教材并在世界各地举办教师培训班。

We do so through careful science, international conservation, education, and the management of the world’s largest system of urban wildlife parks, led by the flagship Bronx Zoo.
