    This unprecedented series presents a comprehensive, scholarly analysis of the Chinese view of world politics and international relations.     一、 国际秩序卷（International Order）     

    《中国学者看世界•国际秩序卷》由外交学院秦亚青教授主编。本卷收录论文23篇，编为“世界格局与国际秩序”、“美国霸权与国际秩序”、“中国崛起与国际秩序”、“区域一体化与地区秩序”四个部分。本卷收录赵汀阳先生《“天下”概念与世界制度的哲学分析》一文，主编在亲自撰写的序言中也以中国传统的“天下”秩序观对比西方自威斯特伐利亚和约以来的国际秩序观，这一中西对照的视角体现了当代中国学者对于国际秩序的哲学关怀。在美国霸权、中国崛起以及区域一体化等近年来中国国际研究的热点问题上，本卷以理念与现实、全球与地区两个纬度充分展现了中国学者在国际秩序这一重大问题上的观点。阅读本卷文章，不仅能洞悉中国学者关于当今世界重大问题的看法，而且能够启迪关于地区、国际乃至人类社会秩序的哲学思辩。

    International Order

    Editor: Qin Yaqing, China Foreign Affairs University

    This first volume is comprised of four sections: “The Structure of the World and the International Order;” “The U.S. Role in International Order;” “The Fast Development of China and International Order;” and “Regional Integration and Regional Order.” This book offers comparisons between Chinese and Western views over international order since the Treaty of Westphalia, and features philosophical analysis by Chinese scholars. It also provides comprehensive analysis on salient topics such as the perception of U.S. hegemony, the rapid development of China, and regional integration.

    二、 国家利益卷（National Interest）   

    《中国学者看世界•国家利益卷》由中国社会科学院世界经济与政治研究所副所长王逸舟研究员主编。本卷收录论文23篇，编为“国家利益与主权：认知与判断”、“全球化背景下的新趋势与新变化”、“中国国家利益分析”三个部分。国家利益是国际关系的核心概念之一，也是中国国际关系学界近年来取得最大进展的领域之一。本卷的第一部分精选了中国学者关于主权和国家利益的理论探讨，第二部分展示了中国学者关于全球化背景下主权与国家利益的新趋势与新变化的思考，第三部分着重围绕中国国家利益问题。在序言当中，主编不仅对中国学界关于国际利益研究的历史演变和现实特点做出了权威性的综述，而且贡献了自己在此问题上的深入思考。本卷收录的论文不仅展示了中国学者关于主权、国际利益、全球化等重大理论问题的见解，而且体现了学者们对国家前途和命运的深切关怀。

    National Interests

    This is an area of international relations, which represents an area of intense interest among Chinese scholars and policy planners. Focuses on China’s development within the theoretical and practical framework of sovereignty, national interest, and globalization. Considers new economic and political trends, and assesses possible changes in relation to sovereignty as a result of globalization. Paper selected here are organized under three subtitles: National Interests and Sovereignty and Their Understanding, Trends and Changes Under the Background of Globalization, and Analysis of China’s National Interests.

    三、 大国战略卷（Strategies of Great Powers）   

    《中国学者看世界•大国战略卷》由中国人民大学国际关系学院副院长金灿荣教授主编。本卷收录近年来中国学者关于大国战略、大国关系、中国国家战略和世界主要大国对外战略的研究和论述31篇。本卷的“总论”部分收录关于大国战略的概念和内涵、大国崛起的理论、21世纪初的大国战略格局等问题的论文。在“中国的国家战略”部分收录的论文涵盖了“战略机遇期”、“全球化”以及“和平崛起”等重大理论问题的探讨。在“其他大国国家战略”部分收录了中国学者对新世纪美国、欧盟、俄罗斯和日本对外战略的研究。大国战略和战略研究始终是中国国际关系学界的热点选题，也是取得成果最为丰富的领域之一。本卷在数量众多的成果当中遴选最具学术性、思想性和代表性的精品，为读者展现中国学者在该领域的研究风貌。

    Strategies of the Great Powers

    This volume considers the historical relationships and strategies of Western powers, the relationships of national alliances, and the foreign policies of the West in the 21st Century. Outlines the general national strategies of China within historical context and considers the role of China’s opportunities for strategic growth.     四、 中国外交卷（Chinese Foreign Policy）     

    《中国学者看世界•中国外交卷》由北京大学国际关系学院牛军教授主编。本卷收录论文22篇，分为“哲学与思考”、“战略与政策”、“对外关系”三个部分。“哲学与思考”部分从历史、哲学和文化层面探讨了中国外交演变以及在21世纪所面临的机遇和考验。“战略与政策”部分体现了中国学者对中国外交宏观方针、规划和战略的研究，尤其是在当前“伟大历史机遇”和“严峻考验”并存的时期，中国这些关于外交“大战略”的思考。“对外关系”部分收录了关于中美、中日、中美日、中俄、中欧以及中国联合国等多边国际体制关系的研究。本卷不仅展示了近年来中国学者关于中国外交与对外关系研究的杰出成果，而且显示了编者在该研究领域的深厚功力，尤其是“中国之世界”和“世界之中国”命题下的历史思考。

     China’s Foreign Affairs

    This volume is comprised of three sections: Philosophy, Strategies and Policies, and Foreign Relations. Provides historical perspectives on China’s foreign relations. Demonstrates China’s macro-foreign policies and strategies and provides analysis of China’s present overall “grand strategy” at a time when the country is facing both great opportunities and serious challenges. Discusses China’s relations with the United States, the European Union, Russia, and Japan, as well as the prospects for improved communication and multilateral relations.

    五、 国际安全卷（International Security）      

    《中国学者看世界•国际安全卷》由清华大学国际问题研究所所长阎学通教授主编。本卷共收录论文23篇，分为“安全观念与合作”、“安全问题与管理”、“地区安全与中国”三编。在第一编当中探讨了和平、正义战争、新安全观、国际安全秩序等理论问题，收录了关于美日同盟、北约、欧盟、上海合作组织等安全合作组织的论述。第二编探讨了伊拉克战争、巴以和平等地区热点问题，国际裁军与军控、联合国维和等国际安全机制问题，以及危机管理问题。第三编覆盖了东亚、南亚、中东、欧洲、俄罗斯、拉美、非洲等地区安全问题，以及中国的核战略与和平崛起的安全政策问题。作为国际政治研究的核心问题，国际安全与中国发展的外部环境息息相关。本卷全景式地展现了近年来中国学者在国际安全理论与政策研究领域的最新成果。

    International Security

    This volume focuses on the ongoing development of peace and the role of justice within the international area. Presents new concepts in global security, the international security order, and the role of strategic security alliances such as the US-Japan Alliance, NATO, the European Union, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). Discusses security issues and management, the current Gulf War and Middle East conflicts, international disarmament and arms control, UN peacekeeping issues, and international security mechanisms and crisis management.     六、 非传统安全卷（Non-traditional Security）       

     《中国学者看世界•非传统安全卷》由中国人民大学国际能源战略研究中心主任查道炯主编。收录论文26篇，分为“概论”、“经济安全”、“粮食安全与贫困问题”、“资源安全”、“生态安全”、“航行安全”、“跨境犯罪”、“公共健康”八章。非传统安全是冷战结束以来国际政治研究中兴起的一个新领域。1997年亚洲金融风暴之后，在中国的国际政治研究界，“非传统安全”也日益成为国际研究的热点和安全研究领域的一个有机组成部分。本卷除了收录中国学者关于非传统安全概念探讨之外，着力展现中国学者近年来在众多非传统安全问题上的研究成果。作为当今国际问题研究的一个新领域，本卷展示了非传统安全研究实证性、对策性以及多学科和跨学科综合性的特点。

     Non-Traditional Security

    The World Economy

    With China’s increasing role in world economic affairs, these topics have been given much prominence in recent years. This volume discusses world economy, globalization, regional integration, development in major economic regions, as well as China’s economic relations with other countries.     八、 全球治理卷（Global Governance） 

    《中国学者看世界•全球治理卷》由中国人民大学国际关系学院庞中英教授主编。本卷共收录论文18篇，分为“理解全球治理”、“如果全球治理”、“中国与全球治理”三编。在全球化和全球问题日益显著的今天，全球治理日益成为国际研究的热点。作为一个新兴的研究领域，中国学者正在以中国的视角深化和发展全球治理的理念。本卷在展示中国学者对全球化、全球问题和全球治理的理论认识的同时，也汇集了中国学者对全球化背景下的民主、文明、法治、和平、公民社会、非政府组织、环境保护、根治贫困、恐怖主义以及联合国改革等一系列重大问题的论述。本卷辑录的论文可以帮助读者了解中国学者看待全球治理的态度和观点、中国与全球治理的关系以及中国开展全球治理外交的思路。
