Abstract: Dans le cadre du BIBF 2007, le service Livre-Edition de l’Ambassade de France en Chine co-organise avec Les Belles Lettres et l’appui du BIEF (Bureau International de l’Edition Française), deux demies journées de séminaire professionnel (sur invitation privée) les 28 et 29 août 2007 entre maisons d’édition françaises et chinoises en Sciences Humaines et Sociales (SHS), chercheurs chinois et français en SHS et traducteurs. Abstract: Main Points of the seminar: 1) Basic Needs—What everybody needs is ______? (Accompanying Song), 2) A child spends how many hours at school compared to home, how many hours with teachers compared to parents? , 3) What is the most important job of a teacher? Are we missing opportunities, choosing something that’s just “good”, but not the best in education? What do you remember from your schooling? What part of it do you use today? What really counts? , 4) What is complete education, educating the “whole person”? , 5) A teacher/ parent is: (a list a things a good teacher or parent must be), 6) As the Seedling (Baby tree) grows, so shall be the adult tree. (True Story of “Change the World”), 7) “The most important things of life, I learned in kinder garden.” , 8) As publishers, educators, or parents, what motivates us? Is business or “just doing our job” number one on our list, or the children and the future? The money comes and goes, but the children stay and grow. 9) We are what we eat, physically and mentally. 10) What is “success”? Step one: We need a clear goal. Step two: We need a plan how to get there. What we’re trying to accomplish through the Rainbow Bridge of Hope Project.

《让“胰岛”动起来──我是这样战胜糖尿病的》是科学出版社最新推出的一本很有价值的医学科普读物。作者焦耐芳先生通过自身经历详尽地告诉读者，糖尿病究竟是一种什么病，作者以丰富的个人经验，对多种民间广为流传的偏方的亲身尝试，为广大糖尿病人提供了很好的“前车之鉴”。结合自身的实践作者提出了三个新的观点：“饮食的次序”、“胰腺也需要营养”、“胰腺的部分功能是可以恢复的”，并创立了“胰腺按摩法”（虽然这种按摩法还需进一步探究）。
北京协和医院的肖新华教授在审稿后指出，“作者通过自身的努力战胜糖尿病的亲身经历，从患者的角度出发，视角独特，不同于普通的科普读物，易于为读者所接受”。
