《新30天汉语通》以来华人士在中国经常遇到的交际场合为背景，注重选择最实用、使用频率最高的语句，目的是使学习者能够在较短的时间内，提高汉语口头言语交际能力。

课文的编排基本上由两个平行的段落组成，教师可根据教学情况分段使用。
