翻译比喻衍生的译学思索①

摘要：翻译比喻是翻译文化和翻译研究文化中现实的、历史的现象，是描述翻译的独特手段，对它的研究具有重要译学意义。笔者根据近期对中西翻译比喻所作的一次系统调查，运用翻译学的描写原则和比较手段，从多个方面对翻译比喻的意义、翻译比喻研究的方法及价值进行探讨，以期为译学领域的不断拓展增添新的内容。

Metaphors of Translation:

A Window for Looking into the Nature of Translation

Abstract: Metaphors of translation are an interesting phenomenon and can serve as an important window through which we perceive our own assumptions about translation. Their study is therefore of unique significance to translation studies. Based on the findings of a recent research project undertaken by the author, this article examines both the Chinese and the Western metaphors of translation that have been in circulation since the classical times, throwing new light on the nature of translation and translation studies alike.

摘要：本文区分作为翻译行为的现象翻译和作为理论概念的实在翻译，并区分翻译研究中的实践理性和纯粹理性两个概念。作者高度评价中国人的翻译成就和实践理性，并认为翻译研究的学理应建立在对纯粹理性的追求之中，在此基础上设想翻译研究的若干新方向。

The Phenomenal Translation versus the Real Translation

Abstract: The paper differentiates between two broad categories of translation, the phenomenal translation, as pertains to the act of translating, and the real translation, as a theoretical concept. On the basis of this dichotomy, it further transfers to translation studies the philosophical opposition between the practical and the pure reason. While much has been achieved in the practice of phenomenal translation by Chinese translators in pursuit of the practical reason, the paper suggests that greater importance be attached to the pure reason as the guiding principle for China’s translation studies. The reorientation would make it possible for us to explore new directions in the development of the field.

——整合文本性的翻译规范理论初探

摘要：本文从“规范”的视角对西方主要的、有系统的翻译学理论进行观察，探讨翻译规范理论对这些理论的包容性。翻译活动是在特定社会、文化、历史环境下进行的（译文）文本产生过程，译文的文本性必然受到外部因素的制约。作者以译文的文本性为出发点对现有的翻译规范理论重新加以调整、扩展，提出了包含文本规范、文本外规范和偏差规范的新的规范分类。

Translation Norms and Textuality:

Towards A Textuality-integrated Norm Theory in Translation Studies

Abstract: This paper examines major perspectives/schools of translation studies in the West in terms of what they each assume as the normative for the practice. Applying insights from text-linguistic theories in general and textuality standards in particular to a rethinking of the issue, the paper goes on to posit the extratextual, the textual, and the deviational as the three categories into which translation norms ought to be classified.

中国新时期对英语意识流小说的译介①

摘要：进入新时期之后，英语意识流小说再次进入中国文学这个多元系统中，然后从边缘的地位向中心移动，并逐渐“登堂入室”，占据了文学多元系统中的显著位置。本文试图对改革开放之后英语意识流小说在中国的接受情况作一回顾，同时对乔伊斯、伍尔夫和福克纳这三位意识流大师的英语作品在中国的译介情况进行一次较为全面的梳理和总结。

China’s Translation of Stream-of-Consciousness Fiction in English

Abstract: Returning to the poly-system that is the post-1978 Chinese literature, stream-of-consciousness fiction in English has moved from the peripheral position to which it was once relegated toward the center, and is now occupying a prominent position within that system. This article is an attempt to offer a comprehensive survey of the translation of stream-of-consciousness novels in Mainland China during the New Epoch period, with special attention given to the rendition of novels by James Joyce, Virginia Woolf and William Faulkner.

—从丹·布朗小说的翻译实践看美学理念与翻译思维的互动

摘要：译品在目标语读者中被成功接受与翻译过程中译家的美学理念和各种思维的交相运用密不可分，丹·布朗的系列小说在中国引起轰动就说明了这一点。文学作品的美学特质和翻译的重新语境化要求译者在翻译过程中能综合运用美学理念和翻译思维，把握和谐的审美距离，以期在尽量考虑目标语读者接受习惯的同时，最大程度地提高目标语文本与源语文本的相似性。

Similarity as the Aesthetic Objective of Literary Translation:

With the Rendition of Dan Brown’s Novels as an Exemplar

Abstract: As is vividly exemplified by the great sensation Dan Brown’s novels have caused in China, the acceptance of a translated version results to a significant extent from the working together of the translator’s aesthetic conception and the various modes of thinking he possesses. Both the aesthetic peculiarity of the literary text and its re-contextualization in the translation require that the translator, while taking into serious account the target reader’s receiving capacity, employ his aesthetic ideals and his thinking about translation in a comprehensive way, so as to maintain a harmonious aesthetic distance and to guarantee that the similarity between the source and the target text be enhanced to the best of our ability.
