Project Background: Laser Engraving is the most advanced and prevalent method for 3D engraving inner crystal glass block. It produces white dots in micrometer scale by focusing of pulse laser beam inside of the glass. The position of the dots is controlled by computer then the splendid 3D images are formed.

The laser engraving technology is used mainly in 3D image marking in glass, such as flowers, animals, builds and many other beautiful figures. Casting LED light upon the 3D image in the crystal and present it looks more transparency, vivid and splendid with several colors. It could be widely used for producing glass handicrafts and gifts, esprcially for individuality. The inner and surface engraving of decorating glass can also use this technology.

Project Content and Scale: The condition of mass production should be completed within a year. The capacity of the first annual production reaches 50 sets. After improvement, the production can be increased to 100-200 sets next year.

According to the need of production, 1,000-square-meter rooms for manufacture workshop and office should be rent or in other ways. Power lines, water supply and firefighting equipment etc. are also included in the construction range. Some general mechanical engineering machines and photoelectrical devices should be listed in purchase sheets.

Profile of the Project Provider: Anhui Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (AIOFM) was founded in 1970.
