All-level supervision departments strengthen investigation privately and publicly after Discipline Inspection Commission of Sichuan Province made stipulations “Four Bans”. 301 party officials in Sichuan Province were cracked hard down because of extracting from playing gambling games.

There are three symbol cases below: 1) Liu Lin, Dean of Authority Office of Liangshan Autonomous Prefecture Government, participated in gambling from 1997 and got into debt over RMB one million. 2) Li Guo, vice-Leader of Huishui Town of Pengxi County, Sichuan Province was caught on July 30, 2003 when he played Majiang at workdays. 3) Cai Songdong, Minister of Propaganda Department of Panzhihua Steel Group, was caught by police on April 16, 2003 when he played Majiang in a teahouse.
