Huangzhong is doing an efficient work in highway building .The whole county had built 2,124-km highways with all level and varieties by the end of 2003. Among the highways they built, 104 kms are ways of national, provincial grade and the first-grade, 324 kms are express and sub-express ways which holds 15 % of the total mileage, and 323.60 kms are roads beyond grade, holding 16 %of the local highways.89% townships in the county are linked with each other by asphalt roads.

The mileage of asphalt roads in the townships reaches 210 kms .It comes that 1,671-km highways fundamentally link the 418 villages with each other.
