A few days ago Malaysia’s Seagull Group reached an agreement with Mengniu to introduce Mengniu liquid milk to the Malaysian market. This is the first trial of Chinese dairy enterprises to enter the Malaysian market.

The agreement between Mengniu and Seagull Group was signed on January 12. Under the agreement, Seagull Group will have sole agency for Mengniu liquid milk in the Malaysian market for the following three years. In 2007 the company hopes to import 4.53 million Ringgit of liquid milk products from Mengniu (Ringgit is the currency of Malaysia. 4.53 million Ringgit is approximately 10 million yuan).
