1Finance and Insurance

In Daqing, financial institutions including Bank of China, Bank of Industrial and Commerce, Bank of Communication, Bank of Construction, Evergreen Bank, Bank of Agriculture, China Insurance Corporation are ready to provide their best service to the investors in Daqing.

 

2Communications and Transportation

Daqing's transportation is mainly served by railway, road and waterway. One of the nation's main railway lines Binzhou Railway passing through the city's center links Rangtong Railway and forms a railway hub. Within the city's boundary,25 railway stations have dispatched and received 12 pairs of passenger trains each day which reach Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Shenyang and Dalian. Beijing-Moscow international passenger train passes through the city and stops at Daqing Railway Station. Daqing's inner city roads total 8259 kilometers, among which 40 percent are of first or second grade. The Harbin-Daqing Highway marks it possible to drive from Daqing to Harbin in an hour or so. There are 44 urban traffic service lines with the mileage of 1352 kilometers. There are 46 long distance bus stations operating 152 lines traveling to Binjing, Tianjin, Harbin and a number of cities and towns in Heilongjiang province respectively. Water transportation is able to enter the Sea of Ochotsk through Songhua River eastward via Harbin, Jiamusi as well as the port cities of Russia. A little bit more than 100 kilometers to its east and north respectively situated Harbin Airport and Qiqihar Airport.

 

3Telecommunication

Daqing has 27 telecommunication stations, one satellite surface station and two micro-wave communications. The whole public telephone switching system contains 500,000 lines/units. The urban percentage of phone capacity is 45.5 per 100 persons. Daqing has built telecommunication networks including long distance digital transmission, mobile telephone and wireless paging network. International and domestic direct telephone service is available. In Daqing there are 86 post offices. Post service revenue totals 345 million RMB yuan, ranking the second in Heilongjing province.

 

4Infrastructure

The city has 40 reservoirs and over 1,000 water source wells with the annual capacity of water supply for 530 million tons, the yield of water supply being 221.7 tons per capita. The urban drainage pipes are 523 kilometers long with the drainage capacity of 510 million tons per year, the wastewater treatment capacity being 330 million tons annually. The external drainage capacity is 30 to 50 cubic meters per capita. The power consumption in Daqing equals to one percent of nation's total which amounts to 8.01 billion kilowatt hours and the annual power consumption percapita in the urban area is 7,400 kilowatt hours. The power comes from the Northeast network and Daqing Self-Supply Power Plant. The total installed capacity in the Daqing Self-Supply Power Plant comes up to 961,600 kilowatt which generates 6.79 billion kilowatt hours each year accounting for 86 percent of the whole city's total consumption. The central heating system in the urban area covers 90 percent of the total floor area. All the citizens use LPG as cooking fuel.

With four professional cultural groups including music, dancing, drama, movie and TV plays, Daqing has more than 60 cultural centers such as Palace of Arts, Worker's Cultural Palace, Juvenile Palace, Children's Recreational Center, and Culture and Arts Center. There are 13 municipal cultural institutions such as libraries, exhibition halls, painting and calligraphy halls and cultural relics administrative centers as well as more than 1,100 ballrooms, Karaoke halls, mini-cinemas and book stores. Daqing boasts its one stadium, one wave pool, 12 gymnasiums, five indoor swimming pool, and 236 physical training centers in Daqing. Dongfeng stadium is the largest and the-state-of -art of its kind in Heilongjiang Province. I t can accommodate more than 30,000 spectators and is capable of undertaking a competition such as football match and athletic meeting. The newly built China Table Tennis Training Base, with a floor area of 15,000 square meters, is ideal for comprehensive sports integrating training, fitness, accommodation, dining and entertainment.

There are 352 public health care organizations in Daqing including 14 comprehensive hospitals, 35 specialized hospitals and 237 small-sized hospitals, clinics and sanitation and epidemic prevention stations, which have formed a integrated system of medical treatment, epidemic prevention and research.

 

5Comprehensive service

Covering an area of 120,000 square meters, Daqing Hotel is one of the 30 superior hotels in Daqing. Its main body is 12-floor building with 338 standard rooms.

Jiuhaoyuan Hotel, as of royal hotel, serves guests from home and abroad. Daqing Service Center for Foreign Experts is a three-star hotel. Chengji Mansion integrates business, trade, food service, hotel rooms and entertainment.

Daqing is composed of one central city, four satellite towns and twenty-four residential areas. The newly established Dongfeng town is the political, economical and cultural center of the city. The residential area per capita in the Dongfeng town is 11.4 square meters. According to the urban overall planning, a group of unique and well-established residential areas are to be built year by year.

There are more than 100 department stores and shopping centers in the urban area. Many commercial centers have established good relationship with thousands of producers all over the country are have formed a business pattern of the leading famous-brand and high-quality commodities. The sales volume increases at a rate of 10 percent year by year.

Children's Park is the biggest one among the eight parks in Daqing, covering an area of 230,000 square meters with the building floor space of 80,000 square meters.
