Campfire & Corp.-the forerunner of Fortune Industrial Group was founded on Aug.10th, 1980, with the initial turnover only about US$0.2 million. However, it had been constantly upgrading itself to a company of over US$10million in 1989 under the correct leadership of the president Paul Lin is ever-growing ambition, with the average annual growth rate of 50% -- 100%.
In 1989, Paul Lin started to explore the investment market and environment in mainland China. Holding the belief of developing without risking Campfire (without using its employees, without transferring its P.O. and cash), he took all the efforts to establish the first enterprise outside Taiwan: Suzhou Cangqing Hardware Co., Ltd in Oct. 1989. This was proved to be a great success by the fact that Cangqing grew rapidly from a small mill of only US$0.15 million to a medium factory owning US$5 million just within 3 years. With the successful experience of this spearhead, the group diversified its business lines from solely manufacturing to raw material, real estate development, steel products, tourism and software by establishing at least 2 companies of different business domain each year from 1993 to 2002. Till the end of 2001, the group had been successful in most of these areas and the turnover exceeded US$100million.
