Not a lot of people can understand this proverb better than the president of Fortune Industrial Group - Mr. Paul Lin. He started to cultivate the bare land of the group business in Aug 1980 and, after more than 20 years of hard work, he is now well rewarded with a good harvest for his unconquerable will and industrious work spent on the development of the group. To his great excitement, today the group is growing much faster than ever before.

It was no doubt that Paul Lin never missed any chance during the passed years: he took good advantage of Taiwan's booming economy and established the first company of his group in early 1980s; He was "bold" enough to explore Mainland market at the very beginning of Opening-up policy, while most of others were still hesitating; Now he is focusing on the realization of " E-business" of the group when Taiwanese companies start to flood in Mainland - he always moves before the time. Besides the courage and persistence, Paul's honesty & warm-heartedness wins him loyalty from customer and respect from employees. A glimpse of the group history would tell you more:

In Aug 1980, Paul started his business by setting up the first fire screen factory Campfire & Corp. in Changhua City, Taiwan, which was a small mill covered only 660m2. However, Campfire grew so fast that it had to triple its size for the increasing business just 5 years later. This was the first success result from the philosophy of "customer oriented".

1985-1989 was the expansion period of Campfire, during which an electroplating company, Yiwei company (manufacturing die-cast Zinc & die-cast Aluminum products) and mesh plant were established to provide periphery support. Campfire - the solid base of fireplace accessories manufacturing -- had been reinforced from then on.

Whereas, Paul Lin, the farsighted leader, became aware of the fact that Taiwan would no longer be the best place for traditional industry because of shortage of raw material & manpower even in the glory of accomplishment. Then he determined to transfer his business outside Taiwan and went to inspect Southeast Asia countries & Mainland while others were still hesitating. After careful comparison, Paul chose Mainland-the land sharing the same language and culture with Taiwan--and invested the first FIC in Taicang city, Jiangsu province, which was proved to be a wise decision.

Paul endeavored for the growth of first company Cangqing Hardware Co.,Ltd. It was actually his indomitable will and immutable persistence that guided Cangqing to final success although experienced countless ups and downs.

With the successful experience gained from Cangqing, the group strived for the goal of multidimensional operation. From 1993 to 1999, a lot of subsidiaries of different business lines were established, including Shanghai Baoqing Metal Products Co.Ltd., Suzhou Wanhong Real Estate Development Co., Ltd, Suzhou Xinfa Printing Iron Co., Ltd. Yangzhou Wanhong Real Estate Co., Ltd, Shanghai Fortune Real Estate Development Co., Ltd., etc (See important events) .

More subsidiaries in other business fields were established after 1999, such as Anji Beauty Lake Club, Yantai Hi Cap Closures Co., Ltdwhich makes Fortune Industrial Group a group of multidimensional operation that includes international trade, manufacturing, steel, real estate and recreational resort.
